Kalpsutra Over The Years
An amalgamation of five companies with a shared growth and cooperation of 25 years has made Kalpsutra what it is today. Sodium Metal Pvt. Ltd., Kalpsutra Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., Tide Industries, N.R. Oils, and Kalpsutra Gujarat joined forces to achieve shared goals in 2024. Our first constituent unit commenced in 1971, and 50 years since that, we have established ourselves across several different industries.
1971
Founded in Nandesari, Gujarat, Unit 1 produced metallic sodium exclusively as the sole Indian manufacturer for 30 years.
1987
Initiating our venture into Castor Oil derivatives and organic chemistry, Unit 2, the first of three units at Halol, Gujarat, was established.
1993
Unit 3, constructed on the outskirts of Mumbai, catered to a growing aroma ingredients portfolio.
1995
Unit 4, the second facility in Halol, was established to enhance fatty acids and fatty alcohols chemistry, swiftly becoming a leader in thermal cracking technology.
1999
Shifting from inorganic to organic chemistry, Unit 1 ventured into pharmaceutical intermediates and fine chemicals.
2004
Responding to rapid expansion, Unit 5, the third Halol site, emerged to complement the existing Castor portfolio.
2016
Unit 6, purpose-built to meet the rising demand for sandal-note molecules, significantly expanded the company’s hydrogenation capacity.
2023
Unit 7 in Kurkumbh, Maharashtra, was acquired for future growth. Simultaneously, Unit 8 in Nandesari began planning, and construction started on an independent R&D facility in Rabale, seamlessly integrating with our existing three factory R&D labs.
